Part of my nightly skincare routine is treating myself with a finishing sheet mask to really soak in all the products from my Asian Beauty routine. I’ve been working with the routine for about 2 weeks now and I’ve never seen such quick results from skincare before in my life. I know I have it in my about me profile, but my skin is dry/dehydrated with fairly chronic dry patches around my nose and between my eyebrows. They’ve almost completely cleared up in the last few weeks. Now, this post isn’t about my full-routine, I can do one of those later if ya’ll are interested. (Please, let me know if you are. I don’t want to bore you over here) Instead, I’m going to be talking about the sheet masks and samples I’ve tried this past week. (PS. I usually post quick reviews of things on my Instagram account @PacificRedhead)
Now! Let’s get into this review, I’m going to do this in two parts so we don’t get information overload.
A quick how to use, either immediately after cleanser and toner, or after your essence, serum, and ampoule steps but before your moisturizer step, remove mask from packet, unfold, and peel from plastic backing and apply the wettest feeling side to your face. Smooth out all the wrinkles and sit back and relax for 15-30 minutes or until you feel your face has absorbed all the serum.
Cat Wrinkle Face Art Mask from SNP
I think this has been one of my least favorites it just seems gimmicky and well it was. The packaging is adorable and of course there was something funny about having a cat character that is printed on the mask on your face but it just wasn’t special. I’m glad I bought just one of these in a swap from /r/asianbeautyexchange on Reddit and not a full box from a retailer.
The mask itself felt a little rough, not a soaked with essence and overall was just a little disappointing. My husband on the other hand thought it was hilarious that I had a cat on my face and thought it was really weird that that was a thing.
After the mask my skin didn’t really feel all that different. I didn’t notice any extra firmness, less redness or moisture.
I would not purchase these again, 3/10
You can buy these from Amazon* from SNP for $23.99 + $4.49 shipping.
Volcanic Ash Black 3D Mask from Skin Factory
This was another one I was personally a little disappointed with when it comes to how my face felt afterwards. One thing Skin Factory does right is that they are “5 free” which means they contain none of the following ingredients;
- paraben
- alcohol
- artificial dyes
- synthetic perfume
- mineral oil
It is supposed to help clear out blackheads and contains Salicylic Acid (BHA) and bifida ferment lysate. I feel like this mask is more beneficial towards someone with oily skin and excess sebum.
It is interesting in that it covers “3D” so all the way down your nose and your chin it essentially “hugs” your face versus just covering the top portion.

When it comes down to it my real problem with this mask is just that it wasn’t made for my skin type, so I didn’t see any beneficially results by wearing it. It isn’t to say it is a bad mask at all, it just isn’t for me. I’ll be passing the other ones I have on to someone else who can use them more than I.
You can buy these off of WishTrend or Memebox and they are $27.00 for 10 sheets plus 2 free on Wishtrend or $1.82 individually on Memebox (currently sold out there)
Donkey Milk Skin Gel Mask Healing from Freeset
So the Donkey Milk mask are a hybrid hydrogel/sheet mask that claims to smooth, repair and heal damaged or dry skin. I would not suggest using these masks if you are allergic or sensitive to botanical extracts, fragrance or obviously anything else on the ingredient list.
I found these to be one of my absolute favorites. I didn’t think the light lavender scent was overwhelming and I don’t have sensitive skin so I didn’t get any odd tingling or irritation from the fragrance or other properties of this mask.
It was nourishing, moist and filled with serum without being drippy and messy. After use my skin felt refreshed, firm and soft. I dare say these are some of the more effective masks that I’ve used. I always feel like my skin is soft after a mask, I mean it is soaked with serum, but my skin is noticeably glowing after this.
I highly recommend these. 10/10 truly.
You can buy these from Memebox* for 2$ a piece. If you this Referral Link you’ll get 20% off your first purchase, I will not earn money only $10 in credit to their site.
Platinum Hyaluronic Acid Mask from My Beauty Diary
Okay, so I messed these up a little the first time that I used this. These are super thin, like really really thin, and they come with a plastic backing and a blue front backing. You’re supposed to peel off the white backing, place the mask on your face and peel off the blue backing so the super thin mask doesn’t crinkle or get messed up.
These mask are PERFECT for super dry dehydrated skin. It also contains several natural ingredients, such as Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and Althaea Officinalis Root Extract, for improving damaged skin to reveal the natural and healthy complexion of your skin.
Just like the Donkey Milk masks I really felt like these did something afterwards. My skin seemed more even in tone and my cheeks less red.
You can buy these on Amazon* for 12$ for a 4 pack with free shipping. These are a little pricier than other masks but they are a nice treat item.
9/10

Those last two masks sound amazing, going to put these on my ongoing sheet mask wish-list! 🙂
They are really nice! I hope you like the ones I recommended to you. I’m going to send you a few. I plan on going to the post office end of this week. Hope you like the ones I send! 😀
Ohhhh these sound lovely. I’m so glad I’ve found your blog through Instagram. I’ve been on here reading for like an hour oops. I’ve never tried a sheet mask before but they sound amazing and my skin has been horribly dry this winter. I’m definitely going to have to look into the last two. Thank you!
I’m so glad you found me too! I’ll be updating some more this week. I’ve been gathering my thoughts on some of my new products before I write about them.
My skin has been super dry too and sheet masks in general have been such a blessing to my skin. On really bad days I follow up with a sleep pack and my skin always feels amazing after that.
You’re welcome! Feel free to comment or ask questions anytime.
