Sucreabeille is a Seattle based, Indie Perfume and Body product company that I had the pleasure of finding out about from my friend Kelsey. I love being introduced to new companies, especially new companies with coffee perfumes! (Maybe I should just change this blog to Pacific Redhead: Adventures in Coffee perfume, jk) She sells far more than coffee perfumes of course. You can find her shop here. I bought a 5 scent sampler pack in her Eau de Parfum, which she can only sell in the United States. She also offers a perfume oil and dry oil which she can sell internationally. This is her scent list she has everything from gourmands, woodsy, designer dupes, and more. Now, I haven’t tried much but I do want to do a review of the 5 scents I did get from her. If her wares sound interesting you can find updates in her Facebook group.
I didn’t try it this time but I have been told via the Facebook group that you can blend ANY perfume. Just leave it in the note to seller at checkout so if you want Root Bear Float and Tihota mixed, you certainly can!
Belsnickel
Strong coffee, streusel coffee cake, nutmeg, brown sugar, toasted almonds
I think out of all the samples I got Belsnickel is my favorite. It is a little boozy on first sniff with a strong cappuccino backing. On my skin while still wet I definitely get something spicy and it almost smells like trix cereal, which is super weird and I kind of like it. Dry and warmed up I definitely get more coffee, spices like cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, and something boozy and sweet. Maybe, brown sugar? I kind of really want coffee cake right now. I now have a craving something fierce, if you’ve ever had entenmann’s coffee cake, this is it. This smells exactly like that. I imagine that this probably smells AMAZING blended with Tihota. I think I might give that a shot.
If you like coffee gourmands that turn into a rich cake and brown sugar smell this is absolutely for you.
Blackberry Tihota
blackberry and vanilla bean pods
Blackberry Tihota is the blend of this fantastic Blackberry note and Tihota which is some of the best vanilla bean perfume I’ve smelled. In vial this is pure Blackberry, it smells like freshly made jam. There is a nice greenish in the background which I think blends well with the rich vanilla. Wet on my skin is a little more green.
So, somehow between the wet on my skin and dried down it loses the green and the great jammy blackberry and turns into kids medicine. This makes me sad, but I guess it is what skin chemistry does. What can you do? I’ll probably try this in a scent locket or in my hair versus on my skin.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
The rich aroma of fresh brewed coffee blended with the perfect amount of pumpkin spice
I must say, Caroline of Sucreabeille does coffee scents right. In vial, this is slight boozy, rich pure coffee. It does have a hint of spice in vial but it is on my skin that spice really comes out. My skin chemistry amps spice but the pumpkin spice is really there. The spice mellows past the initial smell and is this spiced creamy rich coffee. I feel like I’m sitting at my family’s Thanksgiving table over coffee and pumpkin pie. It is wonderful.
Coffee Ice Cream
Sweet buttery cream laced with smooth Brazilian coffee, hints of brown sugar and cocoa powder, & creamy vanilla ice cream
Coffee Ice Cream in vial is so creamy, it has a wonderful sweet sugary quality to it. It does have a great light coffee scent to it with a little bit of chocolate. It reminds me of baileys coffee. On my skin, it is molasses sugary coffee, it is a little bitter from the chocolate, but oh so creamy. It almost reminds me of a cheesecake. I really like this one. I think it is my favorite next to Belsnickel.
Freddy Loves Nancy
Dreamy, pillowy, torched marshmallows, and strong black coffee
I think this maybe be the very marshmallowy scent deceiving me but it almost smells like hot cocoa. This has at least to my nose a lighter coffee scent than the rest but it might be the marshmallow calming it down. The marshmallow has a nice light buttery, smoky scent to it which is wonderful. I have to just mention I love burnt marshmallow, there is nothing better.
I am very excited to try more from Sucreabeille, I really want to try out some of the more woodsy, incense blends and some other gourmands.
I’ve never tried Sucreabeille and now I think I must!
You totally should! Her prices are quite reasonable.
