About a month ago I was approached by the lovely Abby from Smelly Yeti to review her new room spray called “The Mist”. I was thrilled when she offered to send me the product in exchange for me writing an honest review and using my photo as the listing picture for product. I, of course, said yes! Smelly Yeti happens to make one of my favorite honey scented perfumes called Bee Tsar, so that is what I asked for my room spray to smell like. Best part, it’s vegan! All Smelly Yeti products are vegan and the honey note used is a synthetic blend and waxes and jellies are plant derived. So no harming of cute little animals which is always a plus in my book.
Now, onto the product. “The Mist” is $15 for 2.5oz in an aluminum spray bottle. It is cute enough to keep in your purse or car! I use it for my doggies bed because let’s be real as much as I wash my dog she’s kind of stinky sometimes. “The Mist” can be used for a multitude of things, your bed, your linens, your clothes, the air. With all things please remember to patch test! “The Mist” includes the same amount of fragrance as a full-sized perfume and is water-based! Which means it can be shipped internationally. It is safe for clothes but do remember that the fragrances are oil so it can still stain.
Ingredients: Purified water, Polysorbate-20, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Benzophenone-4
At this time all of the scent catalog isn’t available but a good portion is, if you don’t see it on the drop down menu you can email Abby and see if she can make your dreams a reality! Check out the screenshot below to see what is available right now.
Please remember to check individual scent listing for the ingredients to keep track of allergens. Coconut based perfumes would contain a fragrance with coconut pulp etc.
Onto the scent! From the Scent Catalog page;
I know nothing of the BZZZZness of ruling.
It’s a little known fact that the collapse of the royal family and subsequent rise of the Bolsheviks was not motivated solely by economic unrest. The Romanovs had many secrets, the least known of these being that they were all literally bees. Well, as you can imagine, when that came out things fell apart pretty rapidly. And now you too can smell like royalty! Masculine yet sweet, tobacco and Russian leather drip with honeyed vanilla.
Much like the perfume Bee Tsar to me smells like a vanilla cake dripping in a sweet honey glaze. The tobacco and leather notes are rather muted in “The Mist” I do find when it makes skin contact those notes show up a little bit more based on skin chemistry. The sweetness of the scent isn’t cloying or overwhelming. Also like the perfume it doesn’t give me any headache triggers.
I will say a little goes a LONNNNNGGG way!!! When I was talking with Abby after I first got this product I told her how much I appreciated that because I’ve tried quite a few other room sprays and I always get a little disappointed with how weak they are. It isn’t like I want it to smell up my whole house but I want it to leave a little of a lasting scent in the room I’m in. “The Mist” definitely does this.
I imagine that Hey McFly, Princess Jellyfish and Folie a Deux smell amazing as a room spray!!
If you’ve tried “The Mist” also comment and let me know what scent you got it in!
