As a big fan of Sugar & Spite anytime Lysa makes a special box I know I need to get it. Especially when it is Halloween themed. I’m so impressed with this box and I really wish all of this stuff could be permanent. I’m going to have to hoard Terrible Whatzit. If you want to know what I think about the scent and products and see some pretty pictures just keep reading!
HERE THERE BE MONSTERS BOX
The Nothing – super rich body cream 4oz – Freshly popped popcorn, sprinkled with sugar crystals, glazed with molasses and salted caramel, and topped with cardamom dusted macadamias
Holy crap! When it says super rich, man, she means super rich. It is thick and extremely moisturizing without being greasy. It reminds me of my favorite Trader Joe’s coconut body butter wth thicker. The scent is incredible. It’s sweet and sugary with just a little bit off that buttery popcorn smell. The best part is that after you rub it in you can actually still smell it on you it layers wonderfully with Terrible Whatzit.
Jabberwock – bath salts 4oz – Deep, dark rosewood, smoked apple, dry tobacco leaf, honey, cedar and a tiny drop of wormwood.
This is such an interesting scent for bath salts! I love that it compliments all the gourmands in the box. To my sniffer this is a little woodsy with some rounded out sweetness. I’ve never really tried bath salts but I definitely would again! 4oz is definitely more than enough for quite a few baths. It left my skin feeling nice and smooth and no weird after texture. I used a little scooper I have form a old Trader Joe’s Chai Tea and that did the trick for me and my bath.
The Black Rabbit – solid perfume .25 oz – Dark vanilla, myrrh, dragon’s blood, egyptian musk, orchid and creamy amber.
Guys, guys, guys, this smells so good! Have I told you how much I love dragon’s blood? I think my only complaint about the solid perfume from this box is the container. I loved the one from Sugar & Spites last box because it was in a tube that rolls up so I reach for it often. The ease of application. Whereas this I have to rub my finger or a qtip and apply the product.
Terrible Whatzit – Full size room and body spray 2oz – Warm peaches drizzled with butterscotch, caramel, browned walnut butter and vanilla bean, topped with gooey marshmallow fluff
I will quote what I said to my husband earlier in regards to this perfume, “I like things that smell like dessert. (I said this like Ed from Ed, Edd, and Eddy.) and I like spray perfume because I can spray a shitton and not feel bad.”
This is beautiful guys. I want this in everything. I can visual the dessert in my head, gooey rich soft peaches covered in butterscotch and nutty walnut butter and toasty marshmallow. The butterscotch is so rich and the peach is so realistic I adore it.
Whangdoodle – owl shaped bath bomb – Cocoa bean, sandalwood, spiced shortbread cookies, and vanilla coke.
The scent sounds crazy but it works! Chocolatey, earthy, spicy and just a hint of something molasses. I can’t wait to use this. I’ve seen some girls in the Sugar & Spite group post shots of their baths and it looks awesome. With how strong this smells as a bath bomb I can’t wait to smell it warmed up in the water.
Gruffalo – espresso coffee scrub 4oz – Deep black espresso, dark cocoa, toasted hazelnuts and graham cracker crumbs
I’m a sucker for coffee/espresso scents as I’m sure anyone who has read this blog knows. This smells like a hazelnut latte. I love the scrub, I use sugar/coffee scrubs every time I take a shower. I find it really helps keep my dry skin in check. I really hope Lysa makes more of this or something similar its amazing.
As ya’ll can tell I’m a huge fan of this box. I did order a few other Halloween things after the fact that should make their way to me in a couple of weeks and I’ll post a review on those scents then as well.
I just bought a bottle of The Nothing in a spray from someone off Sunday Swap on Reddit and yours was the only review I could find of the scent easily!
I’m hoping the cardamom isn’t too strong because I don’t like spice in my perfume, apart from that it sounds like a super interesting scent!
Terrible Whatzit sounds right up my alley though so I’ll have to keep an eye out for that one. I’m a sucker for marshmallow.
Oh I’m so glad you could find one! I hope you love it. 😀
