Sudsy is a monthly purchase subscription box from the ladies over at Indie Memory Box. Currently, you don’t need to subscribe monthly in order to get it you can just purchase which months you want as they are released. Some sell out and some don’t it just depends on the month. I believe as of right now October is sold out. Each box costs 15$ plus shipping. For me, it was 19.35$ total for my box. This box in particular has 4 times in it from different indie companies and 10% of the sales is going to Pollinator Partnership.
I love getting Sudsy because it often introduces me to companies I don’t already know about which is awesome to me, I love learning and in turn supporting new indie brands. This month is a fun mixture of bath, lip balm and home fragrance.
You can follow Sudsy and The Indie Memory box girls on Facebook they also have a Facebook group called Indie Memory Collectors that you can join for various updates. If you ever missed out on an item and you want to purchase it now on Ajevie’s website (If you didn’t know she also decants most major releases from brands like BPAL, NAVA, Arcana, etc)
In this months box I received;
Soap: Sapling Naturals is local to Vermont and in the scent Witches’ Brew. Witches’ Brew is an amazing spicy fall scent, celebration of patchouli, cinnamon and cedarwood. It is very halloweeny in color! It’s perfect.
Goat’s milk (for a creamy bar with beneficial vitamins & minerals)
Olive Oil (very gentle and moisturizing)
Rice Bran Oil (moisturizing, great for sensitive, dry or mature skin)
Coconut Oil (for lather)
Palm Kernel Oil (for hardness and lather)
Castor Oil (humectant, increases lather)
Sodium Lactate (natural salt from fermented corn/beets – humectant, also increases hardness)
Tussah Silk (for an amazingly silky lather)
Sodium Hydroxide (aka Lye – can’t make soap without it!)
Fragrance oils (in our 99% natural soaps)
Essential oils (in our 100% natural soaps)
Wax Melts: Sugar & Spite is local to Salem, Oregon and I think most people who’ve read this blog knows she makes some of my favorite products. Now, I hadn’t really gotten into home fragrance till recently but I’ve always wanted to try her wax melts they are raved about in her group on Facebook and I’m glad I’ll get a chance to now. They smell super woodsy and smoky, my favorite!
Bath Bomb: Oopsie Bath is sells out of Oklahoma, and this is my first time hearing about her brand, which like I said earlier I love discovering new people. She sells her wares on Etsy. This bath bomb is the goth trend of the year, it’s a black bath bomb!! It is made with charcoal and colorants, and it may stain your tub, I guess I’ll see! It’ll be worth a little scrubbing though I’m sure.
Lip Balm: Bloodbath is close to my neck of the woods in California but a little further south she’s in San Diego. I can’t wait to try more of what she has to offer! This product is vegan! Which is always a plus to me, I try and keep my beauty products all cruelty free and vegan. I got my lip balm in Petrifying Pomegranate which is bright fruity Pomegranate. Vegan, Organic, Paraben Free, No artificial Color, No Nut Oils, Certified Sustainable. CONTAINS CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE PALM KERNEL OIL.
Have you tried any Sudsy boxes? What did you think if you got this months box? I think these would make a wonderful holiday gift. I hope they do another large box like they did last year sometime soon, they curate such wonderful boxes.
As a note, I did purchase this box myself with my own money.
