Back in November, I discovered the brand Fanfare Beauty on Instagram. Fanfare’s owner Maria kindly sent me some samples to try out and review for my blog. I was captured by her color labels and chic clean packaging. I didn’t request certain scents just ones that would showcase her brand and her perfume style.

Fanfare Notes of Lilac, Neroli Orange Blossom, Lily of the Valley, and Vibrant Garden Greens
Light, girly and delicately floral. It has a slight hint of power and this delicate green fresh smell. It reminds me of my grandmother and aunts garden in the summertime on Long Island. A little more powdery in the vial versus on my skin, my skin brings out the green fresh flower scent. Not my typical scent choice but it is beautiful. On my skin it’s a delicate lilac scent with a little bit of green. Light to Medium sillage it is a bit of a skin clinger and isn’t too overpowering. It can come across as a little soapy but to me that isn’t a bad thing. I did find that for me this faded pretty quickly on my skin.
Armenie Notes of Heliotrope, Vanilla, Benzoin, Frankincense, Amberwood, and Hyacinth
Holy gorgeous incense! In vial immediately it is just an incense lovers dream. Sticky gooey sweetness meets a resinous incense. On my skin, I get a almond marshmallow with a big ol’ kick of vanilla. As it warms on my skin the sweetness meets the resin again. It smells like a piece of marzipan that has been toasted ever so slightly and topped with vanilla whipped cream while your nestled next to a fire with a incense cone burning. My skin amps incense so this one is very strong on me high to medium sillage and lasted for at least 7 hours.
Verita Notes of Vetiver, Citrus, Rosewood, Anise, and Radish
Bright citrus and spicy green woodsiness. A Florida orange grove on a summer day just after it rains, the sunshine comes out and starts to dry the water off all the wet grass. As it warms on my skin the spicy warmness of star anise comes through. It doesn’t quite turn into black licorice though. The citrus dulls down a bit and woodsy spice settles in with a little bit of green. I was worried initially that it would smell like a cleaning product but it definitely doesn’t. It is a very beautiful feminine woodsy scent. Medium sillage and it lasted about 5 hours.
Jubilee Notes of Peach, Bergamot, White Musk, Coconut, Citrus Fruit, Tropical Flowers, and Spun Sugar
Musky Coconut is my initial impression out of the vial. I’ve never smelled anything like it. On my skin the same musky coconut lingers but joins with a juicy peach note. It’s a little citrusy, peachy and slightly floral. As it warms on my skin it’s a sugary coconut with a hint of musk. I really like this one. I don’t have anything in my perfume stash that smells quite like this. I would have never thought to combine musk with coconut and peach. It’s even a little bit floral. This is stronger on my skin and lasted about 5 hours without needed to reapply.
Mimosa Notes of Mimosa, Jasmine, Citrus Fruit, Sea Salt, and Spice
Fresh salty air and clean florals. It smells like a sunny day by the beach with the local flowers moving in the breeze. Lightly citrusy but rounded out by the jasmine. It is a very fresh clean scent. Dry on my skin brings out a bit more limey citrus and spice. I think this one is a miss for me. Jasmine is finicky with me sometimes and it just depends what is it mixed with, I think the sea salt throws off my nose but then aquatics are generally not my friend. I think if you like a very sea salt/citrus/light floral this would be for you. It has light-medium sillage for me and lasts about 3 hours on my skin.
