I’ve previously reviewed several perfumes and other products from Southern Comforts. Recently owner Allison was seeking bloggers/youtubers to be part of her promotion team and I applied and was accepted, yay! It’s an honor to be apart of a team for a brand I just adore. From now on anyone who follows me can use code Pacific15 to get 15% off their order, as many times as they want to use it.
Part of my first promoter package is this fragrance Dalliance an exclusive limited edition Valentine’s Day fragrance only available for the month of February. It’s $17 for a 10ml roll on perfume.
Before I get into the review I want to highlight another perfume she just released that is for an important cause. Resist is a charity perfume and for $17 you’ll get a 10ml roll on perfume with 100% of the profits going to the ACLU to help them fight for the justice and freedom our nation was founded on. You can get resist in hair oil, sugar scrub, body balm as well you just need to leave a note when you buy the perfume that you’d like it in a different form. Resist is Mexican vanilla, mandarin orange absolute from India, and French lavender absolute.
As always SoCo perfumes are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
Dalliance is Dark chocolate, cocoa absolute, coffee absolute, rich vanilla, French lavender absolute, sea salt.
Initial in bottle sniff Dalliance is creamy sweet chocolate, similar to a really rich from scratch hot chocolate. In the bottle you don’t really get a lot of the lavender note which I personally like since lavender a lot of the time is my nemesis. On my skin it still maintains that rich chocolate it’s like walking into a Ghirardelli chocolate shop, if you’ve ever been to one in San Francisco you’ll know what I mean. As it warms on my skin a slight hint of the lavender comes out but it still isn’t super herbal. It maintains that sweetness so it is more of an accent note than the main star. The star of this perfume is absolutely the chocolate. It honestly reminds me of this chocolate cake I had once that was infused with lavender, it just works. It’s sexy, smooth and sultry.
It’s been about 30 minutes since my initial application and my skin chemistry hasn’t weirdly turned it or amped the lavender to a headache inducing level. It clings fairly close to my skin with a medium sillage and is sweet but not cloying. I get a good 4-5 hours of wear out of this perfume before it fades enough that I want to apply more.
If you like sweet & sultry perfumes that are a light floral meets bakery chocolate this is for you. Don’t miss out on this limited edition perfume!
Till next time,
